Mario’s Vows…

June 4, 2010

Last night I got choked up all over again watching Mario and I renew our vows on the RHONYC.

I truly do love him more today than the day I married him.

Below are the vows he reaffirmed to me at our beautiful ceremony.  I had to share it with the world as they mean so much to me!

Ramona,

Probably the biggest decision one will ever make is the person to spend the rest of your life with. Sometimes it takes quite a while before you know if you’ve made the right choice. I was fortunate to have known very early that I had made the right decision. My mom had suffered a stroke and she would need care for the rest of her life. Since Dad had already passed away I asked you if it was alright if my mom could live with us in our home in Southampton. Not only did you take her in but you embraced her with love and kindness like she was your own mother. That is when I knew I had made the right decision. I had absolutely chosen the women I would spend the rest of my life with. After 17 years of marriage you have been at my side through everything that life has thrown at us, both good and bad. You have been a steady rock in times of trouble had a ray of sunshine when I could not see the light. You have applauded my achievements and comforted me in my setbacks. You have given me the most wonderful daughter a father could ever have. For all of this I am blessed and so I reaffirm my vows that I said so long ago. Ramona, I will love and honor you through good times and bad for better or worse in sickness and in health until death do us part. May God continue to bless our marriage.

After 18 years he still knows how to take my breath away. I am so blessed to be married to the love of my life!

xo,

Ramona.

Mario’s vows were wonderful… I think you, Betheny, Alex and Sonja (sp) are the best ones on the show. I’m sad Betheny will probably be leaving, hopefully you don’t leave too.

Ramona, this was absolutely beautiful! Your vows and Mario’s brought tears to my eyes! My husband and I celebrated our 20th anniversary this past January! I want to renew our vows on the beach. We are not financially wealthy but we are wealthy in so many other ways. Not only could I not afford even a small ceremony but my brother paid for me to go to my home state to rush to my mothers bedside. I stayed at the hospital for a week and held her hand, along with my sister. We were there when she passed peacefully. It was a sad time in my life but at the same time, the love of my husband and my daily phone calls to him, gave me the strength that I needed to be there for my mother to help her on her journey. When I returned home, I realized that even though we did not get to publicly renew our vows, we did it privately and in our hearts. Thank you for sharing the love of your family with us. You looked so elegant! So happy! CONGRATULATIONS!!

    Ramona,

I’ve been watching the house wife series for a few years now. To be honest I didn’t understand you last season. This season I have been impressed by your desire to grow and become the best version of your self. You have such a good heart I think it is good that you are working to edit your responses and see things from another perspective. I always say we can choose to bless or curse some one with our words.

You look great! I’m 48 and could not wear a bikini, so Jill is dead wrong in her comment that you should not wear one. Most of us don’t have the body you have at your age. I love your shorter hair style and it has inspired me to go a bit blonder and shorter. My husband loves it.

I am a very smart, wealthy, spiritual woman so my next statement is not said lightly. You have become my favorite house wife not only in NY, but in all the series. I am thrilled you are involved in Africa, my husband and I are as well.

    Your life inspires me.

    Blessings,
    Karin smith

Ramona, I lost my Mom not too long ago and have been having the blues, but when I saw the look on your face when Jill showed up when you were getting your pedicures I laughed so hard I about wet my pants. Everytime I see it I crack up. You looked absolutely beautiful last night. For me the water works started with your vows, so sincere and then it continued on with Mario’s vows. He is a lucky guy to have you and your daughter is so full of wisdom. I wish you and your family the best. I wish they would dump Kelly and Mario was right, the other one is countless, in more ways than one.

    Ramona,

Mario is so HOT, sorry, my bad. I mean, he just is. You both fit together perfectly. I can see the love in both your eyes. Ramona, I understood your anxiety and comments in the very beginning. I, too am from an abusive home. I am 44 yrs. old. I still live with the pain. But, I accentuate the positive and feel lucky to be alive. I smile and laugh a lot, that is how we cope. You and I cope with a wall of talking. Understand? I get you, always have. Any poor behavior you had in the past was the effects of your child abuse trauma, that is normal. It is a long healing process, and you have are doing amazingly well.

I love your show, I am inspired by you. you have a lovely daughter, and I am so happy for you all.

KEEP BEING SILLY RAMONA, I AM THE SAME WAY. I DRIVE SOME FOLKS CRAZY, BUT THEY SMILE AND ALWAYS HAVE FUN:) YOU ARE A BREATH OF FRESH AIR NEEDED EVERYWHERE!

  13. Ramona,

I think you brought nearly every RHoNY fans to tears. After reading Mario’s blog today.. the tears started to flow again. Beautiful

I absolutely love all of your jewelry but inparticular I would like to purchase the two necklaces you wear so much this season! I found the “flower” however would love to know what the name is and length of the other necklace that you layer with the flower pendant. It is so classic and goes with everything!

Ramona, I love your shorter hairstyle. I liked it sooo much better the way you had it cut and styled for your ceremony. What a beautiful episode, and thanks so much for sharing your special day with us. I love the way you are brutally honest, that’s a REAL HOUSEWIFE! You go girl. Going to check out your site to see if I can find where to purchase your skin care. Thanks and I pray God’s continual blessings and I pray the Holy Spirit rest upon you and your family. Blessings in Christ, Mikki

I just wanted to say that I think that Lu Ann is completely rude for making fun of your eyes, and I think you’re beautiful.I’m also so happy for you, and Mario, and your whole renewal. I tried to call in on watch what happens live, but my call didn’t get in. Take care, and I can’t wait for the third part of the reunion!

    Ramona,
YOU ARE JUST FABULOUS, AND YOUR VOWS MADE ME CRY THEY WERE SO BEAUTIFUL.

I know that you and Jill have a “history” for 15 years, but she is a very toxic person whom you do not need in your wonderful life.

I love the necklace (chain) that you always wear. How do I get one?

    Susan

    Ramona,
I wanted to thank you for sharing your vow renewal with us. It meant the world to me to see you and Mario renew yourselves to each other. My husband and I are going though some rocky stuff and have agreed to recommit to each other. Oddly we have been married 17 years just like you and Mario so to see you do such an elaborate renewal was heartwarming to me. I was worried that I would get a lot of backlash if I wore a dress and invited friends and family.

    You inspire me!!!

    Ramona,
Congrats to you…What a wonderful inspiration you are with doing the vow renewal. I’m so excited to renew mine this weekend, with my husband of 20 years. I loved your video. Thanks for sharing it. It has helped me to put my renewal together. We’re doing ours in a gazebo by the lake. I know how special it is to have the right dress and everything else. I, actually, memorized my vows/thank you to my husband, too, after watching yours and will use the “Endless Love” song while we say them…so excited. Thanks, again for the great example that you have set on the marriage renewal.
